The Bradford Bulls Foundation have today announced that Chief Executive Officer Chris Chamberlain will be stepping down from his position effective at the end of 2024 to pursue other opportunities. The Board of Trustees, alongside the Bradford Bulls R.L.F.C has initiated a comprehensive recruitment process for a new Head of Foundation to lead the charity into its next phase of growth and community partnership.
Chris Chamberlain has served as CEO for three years, during which time he has led the charity through significant milestones, including:
· Ensuring the foundation contributed significantly to the Bradford Bulls’ high scoring IMG community pillar points through the organisation’s impact on the local community and its ongoing commitment to social responsibility.
· Driving the growth of Rugby League across Bradford, with engagement from a record high number of 24 ambassador community clubs working in partnership with the Bradford Bulls; creating opportunities for participation and engagement within the sport including establishing the ‘Bulls Talent Pathway’ (BTP).
· The Foundation being shortlisted for the Rugby League Foundation of the year award in 2023 whilst in the same year engaging with over 25,000 people across a range of initiatives, reflecting its growing influence and impact within the community.
Chris Mason, Chair of the Board of Trustees, stated, “On behalf of the entire Board, I want to express our sincere gratitude to Chris for his dedicated leadership and invaluable contributions to the Foundation over the past three years. Under his leadership, the Foundation has, among many others, achieved significant community engagement, securing its position as a leading community partner across the city and wider region. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”
Chris Chamberlain has expressed his deep gratitude for the opportunity to lead the Foundation and acknowledged the collective efforts of staff, volunteers, trustees, and supporters in reaching these significant milestones. He remarked, “I want to extend my thanks to the Board of Trustees for the privilege of serving as CEO of the Foundation. A special thank you goes to our incredible staff, volunteers, and key stakeholders, whose dedication and hard work have been vital to our success. It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of the Bulls’ rebuilding journey over the past three seasons. Making a positive impact in the City of Bradford and engaging with new audiences has been a tremendous achievement for the team and the organisation. Reaching our 20th anniversary is a true reflection of the unwavering support from our community, partners, and stakeholders. We are incredibly proud of the positive difference we’ve made and are excited to continue our mission of creating lasting change in Bradford.”
During the transition period, our staff, volunteers and trustees will, alongside the staff, volunteers and directors of the Bradford Bulls R.L.F.C, continue to serve the community with the same passion as always – the Foundation remains committed to its strategic objectives and delivering for the city of Bradford.
