About BTP
It is the belief of the Rugby Football League Performance Department that identification pre-puberty of players who may progress to the highest level is flawed, therefore every young player from 12 years old should receive high quality coaching as they all are potentially on the ‘Bulls Talent Pathway’.
Bulls Talent Pathway is an inclusive programme and the first step of the Player Pathway. The programme is delivered through Club Foundations, Community Clubs, Professional Clubs and Schools.
The “scheme of work’ is a programme of Coach Education, based around 24 blocked coaching sessions that can be used and adapted to meet the needs of young players at any stage, providing holistic development.
Working alongside the Youth Department of the Bradford Bulls, schools and community clubs the Foundation delivers quality training of children’s coaches with the aim of increasing the number of 12 to 14 years old Rugby League players receiving quality development:
- Coach education – community coaches can train athletes alongside our professional coaches and players
- Through coach education community club coaches can become BTP accredited coaches
- Once a community club has two BTP accredited coaches, the club can be announced as an BTP accredited club
We are now taking bookings for our 2024 BTP Programme
