On Sunday the 14th of May, the Bradford Bulls Foundation hosted their first PDRL Festival of 2023 at Tong Leadership Academy.

Eight PDRL Squads made the trip up to Tong to participate in the third festival of the season. The likes of Hull KR, Hull FC, Warrington Wolves, Salford Red Devils, Castleford Tigers, Wigan Warriors, Wakefield Trinity, and of course Bradford Bulls competing in several fixtures on the day.

The festival started with Bradford’s first and only fixture against Hull FC, due to Leeds Rhino’s having to drop out to prior arrangements with the Rob Burrowns Marathon and The Rhino’s Challenge taking place over the same weekend.

The Bull’s team came out with an impressive score of 22-4 against Hull FC.

Reflecting upon the day’s events, Chris Chamberlain, CEO of the Bradford Bulls Foundation said the following : “Hosting our first Festival of the season was a fantastic experience for all involved. It was great to see all the teams come down to Tong, as well as all the supporters to celebrate what PDRL is all about. A massive thanks goes to the Foundation Staff and PDRL and LDRL coaches Mick Colborn and Chris Chamberlain. And a huge congratulations to the squad for their impressive win that started of the day.”

PDRL will next appear at St James’ Park in Newcastle over Super League’s Magic Weekend on the 3rd of June.
