Final Score Bradford Bulls 56 Rochdale 52
This was a very exciting game, Bradford had loaned Stephen Potter to Rochdale to make up for a shortage of disabled players.
While Bradford opened the scoring, the game was nip and tuck right up to the last 5 minutes.
With 5 minutes to go the Score was Bradford 50 – Rochdale 52.
The Rochdale squad was peppered by several dual registered players from Super League Teams Warrington and Halifax. This had certainly tested our team a number of which have only played the game since January this year.
With the help of our only Dual Registered team, Keiron Johnson, who was able to punch a hole through the middle of the line and send a pass out to Scott Pyrah who flung himself and his chair into the corner to score the winning try. (imagine DFJ in a wheelchair!!)
Scott Pyrah (sponsored by Teresa Doran) was named player of the match by Rochdale.
Final try tallies, including 3 hat tricks for Keiron Johnson, Sam Stebbings (sponsored by Fate & Fings Design) and Scott Pyrah and a try each for Jon Bairstow (sponsored by the Bairstow and Lee Families) and Becky Wilkinson (sponsored by Yes Driving School/UK Swim School).
Our thanks to TL Dallas Co. Ltd who sponsored the game, and to Lewis Crabtree who was our game day Mascot.
