The Bradford Bulls Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Mason as the new Chair of the organisation, succeeding Warren Evans, who has dedicated over nine years of service to the Foundation.
Warren Evans, a trustee since August 2012 and Chair since 2014, has played a pivotal role in guiding the Foundation through numerous changes and challenges. His tenure has been marked by unwavering dedication, passion, and a commitment to the positive impact of sport on the community.
Evans expressed both joy and sadness at passing the baton to Chris Mason, acknowledging Mason’s skills and affirming confidence in his ability to support the Foundation and its CEO, Chris Chamberlain.
“It has been a privilege and joy to volunteer, support, and help in some small way to the Foundation and club for well over a decade. In this period, we have seen many changes and challenges, but I am constantly impressed and encouraged by how the Foundation team and trustees have navigated and continued to support the club and the wider community,” said Warren Evans. “It is with both great joy and sadness that I now pass the baton on to Chris Mason, who is a highly skilled and gifted individual and who I am sure will do a great job in supporting Chris Chamberlain and the rest of the team.”
Chris Mason, the newly appointed Chair, expressed his honour at supporting the Bradford Bulls Foundation as a trustee. Mason said:
“Supporting the Bradford Bulls Foundation as a trustee is an honour. The charity has served our city and beyond in countless ways over the last few decades with the staff and volunteer team connecting with thousands of children, young people, and adults every month. The development of Physical and Learning disability Rugby League, alongside Wheelchair and Women’s Rugby League, whilst also delivering mental health and other sport programmes across Bradford has and will continue to be hallmarks of the exemplary work the staff and volunteer team do on a day-to-day basis. As a trustee and as chair, Warren has served the foundation with selfless passion and I’d like to thank him publicly for his service to the Foundation. As we look forward, it is a joy and a privilege to play a small part in encouraging the charity’s continued growth over this next season as chair.”
Chris Chamberlain, CEO of the Bradford Bulls Foundation said:
“On behalf of the Bradford Bulls Foundation, I want to extend my sincere thanks to Warren Evans for his outstanding service and commitment to the Foundation over the past nine years. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours. We also welcome Chris Mason to the role of Chair and look forward to working together to continue the Foundation’s impactful work in the community,”
The Bradford Bulls Foundation is confident that under Chris Mason’s leadership, the Foundation will continue to thrive and make a positive difference in the lives of those it serves.
